A classroom sink was backing up fast, and what looked like a simple blockage turned into a full tree root invasion through the line.
Here’s how we got things flowing again:
👉 Investigated with CCTV – Opened up the line and sent the camera down, finding heavy tree root intrusion almost immediately.
👉 Tracked the blockage outside – Located a buried inspection opening with a broken cap and roots growing straight into the pipe.
👉 Got hands-on under the building – Crawled under the classroom, disconnected the trap, and manually removed thick root build-up from the line.
👉 High-pressure jetting + specialist cutting heads – Used the water jetter and turbine heads to break up and clear roots through both PVC and clay sections.
👉 Restored flow & reassembled – Reconnected all pipework, replaced damaged sections, and tested the sink — running clear and back to normal.

The giveaway? Water is bubbling up fast through a garden bed near the pool line.
Here’s how we sorted it:
👉 Isolated the water at the main meter to stop further loss
👉 Excavated the garden bed to expose the damaged pipe
👉 Found a burst copper water line cracked by aggressive tree roots (a very common cause of underground water leaks)
👉 Cut out the failed section and rerouted the pipe up and over the root
👉 Repaired in copper, pressure-tested the line, and restored full flow
👉 Backfilled, cleaned up, and left the site tidy

Here’s how we fixed it:

Two busy school bathrooms had toilets backing up with rising water levels and gurgling noises, and it was never a good sign in a high-traffic area.
Here’s how we tackled it:
👉 We inspected both toilets, the blockage couldn’t be cleared with a plunger or airsnake. Searched outside and opened existing inspection points but there was no external access to this bathroom line, so we were forced to remove one of the toilets to jet the drain downstream.
Using our CCTV drain camera, we found and cleared a heavy tree root blockage that was backing everything up. We reinstalled the toilet, sealed and tested all fittings, and left the area spotless, with toilets back in action and working perfectly.

A full-on blockage had the sewer line backing up between the school's library and lower car park, and things weren’t looking (or smelling!) great.
And after Sydney Water confirmed it wasn’t their end, we were called in to investigate.
📄The sewer service diagram helped us locate all the inspection points and plan a proper jetting sequence.
📹 Our camera traced the blockage deep inside the line and confirmed where things were backing up.
🌳 Turns out, a massive tangle of tree roots had set up camp in the grease trap, and woven through them? A huge number of flushed tampons are completely blocking the line.
💪 We cleared the root-and-tampon mess, flushed the line clean, and found a few other sneaky blockages along the way before restoring full flow to the main.

What started as a blocked drain callout turned into something a bit bigger once we got the CCTV down there - a cracked junction where tree roots were growing straight into the sewer line.
These underground root intrusions are common across older homes and can cause recurring blockages, slow drainage, and unpleasant odours.
Here’s what we did to tackle it for good:
👉 Located the buried Boundary Trap Shaft (BTS) – Brought it to the surface and secured it with a proper concrete surround, just above bark level.
👉 Excavated the broken junction – Roots were pushing through the cracks and blocking the line, and this section needed replacing.
👉 Installed a new inspection opening (IO) – Now, the customer has an easy access point for future maintenance, neatly finished in the grass.
💡 Reminder: blocked drains are often just a symptom and not the real cause. Without proper investigation (like CCTV drain inspections), you’re only treating the surface issue!

A faulty Zip boiler was causing issues at this commercial kitchen. The unit was still delivering water, but none of it was hot.
Here’s what we did to bring the hot water back in service:
🚫 Old unit was still flowing but wouldn’t heat. The power was there, but the element was done.
🔧 We removed the obsolete 15L model, drained it out, and took it off the wall.
🆕 Installed a brand-new Zip Autoboil unit with fresh chrome pipework and Kinco nuts for a clean, durable fit.
🌡️ Calibrated the new unit to 98°C, set the sleep mode, and ran multiple heat cycles to get it humming.
✅ Final checks, thorough clean-up, and we left the site with a brand-new hot water unit.

In this case...a flooded playground!
This site had a known issue with tree roots in the stormwater line and the plan was to manage it with maintenance cleans every 9–12 months instead of relining.
But when the scheduled clean was cancelled and heavy rain hit, sand from the sandpit and even toys got washed into the pits, and it didn’t take long for things to back up and flood.
Here’s what we did:
💦 Stormwater pits overflowed due to a missed maintenance clean, causing flooding and safety risks.
🧸 Sand and toys from the play area added to the blockage during heavy rain.
🌳 Tree roots already known in the stormwater line added to the blockage risk.
🛠️ High-pressure jetting was used to clear the stormwater pits and restore drainage.
✅ Once cleared, the pits could finally drain water properly preventing future flooding.
